Our Team

Hugo Nathanael Yuwono

Founder and President of Math for Humanity, Coach for Grade 6-8 International Curriculum (Cambridge, IB)

Hugo’s favorite subject at school has always been Math. Whenever he encounters a challenging math problem, he strives to find the simplest solution.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, he dedicated his time to helping children in an orphanage who faced difficulties in Math. However, the pandemic changed the situation. Due to social and physical restrictions imposed by the authorities, the orphanage management ceased all in-person activities. Reduced donations to the orphanage became a direct consequence of this predicament.

Through online Math tutoring, Hugo continues his social contributions to those in need. His goal is to give back to society by providing affordable online Math tutoring and donating all proceeds to orphanages, nursing homes, special needs homes, COVID-19 volunteers who provide medicines and meals during self-quarantine, and cancer patients.

He has established and run Math for Humanity since May 2020. As he continues to spread kindness within the community and the number of students enrolled in Math for Humanity grows, he has also invited his friends to join him on this journey.
